Medical mission work, locally and internationally, has always been important for Dr. Kathleen Waldorf.  Dr. Waldorf has a strong desire to help adults and children in need of reconstructive plastic surgery who would otherwise not be able to receive the specific healthcare they require.  For the third year in a row, Dr. Waldorf partnered with the Project Vietnam Foundation whose mission is to “to create sustainable pediatric healthcare in Vietnam through training for health personnel, while providing health assistance to impoverished rural areas across the country”.

During her March 2018 trip to Saigon, Vietnam, Dr. Waldorf and her team lent their reconstructive plastic surgical expertise by performing 60 cleft lip and palate repairs.  Dr. Waldorf feels extremely grateful to have the opportunity to impact children’s lives in such a positive way, and she looks forward to future medical mission trips.
