WHAT CAN RENUVION® J-PLASMA® TREAT?

As noted above, Renuvion® J-Plasma® is a unique device that combines radiofrequency energy with inert helium gas to produce cool helium plasma that can ablate (i.e., remove or dissipate by vaporization) skin tissue in such a precise manner that there is minimal trauma to any of the other surrounding tissues.

The length of the helium stream produced by Renuvion® J-Plasma®, as well as the width and depth to which it travels, can be easily controlled by the technician operating the device.

Because of the precision, control, and effectiveness that Renuvion® J-Plasma® offers, only one or two treatment sessions may be required (although individual patient results may vary).

It is commonly used in treating:

Medspa

Fine lines, wrinkles, and loose sagging skin.

Conditions of dyschromia (i.e., hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation), such as melasma

Acne-related and other scars

Large pores

Uneven skin tone, texture, and sun spots

Our founder Dr. Kathleen Waldorf notes that the Renuvion® J-Plasma® treatments at The Waldorf Center are particularly effective in tightening lax skin in the neck area. It can also be used as a skin resurfacing treatment for fair-skinned patients and to address vertical lip lines and age spots.* To learn more about receiving J-Plasma®in Portland, OR, contact The Waldorf Center for Plastic Surgery online, or call our office directly at (503)-646-0101 or 1-800-310-7901.

TREATMENT & RECOVERY

A Renuvion® J-Plasma® treatment session is performed under anesthesia. There is minimal downtime and little to no discomfort.

While some patients may require more intensive treatment for specific problem zones, the entire face is typically treated to boost collagen production and keep the results smooth and even all over.

LEARN MORE

While there will be some redness after the session, patients are typically able to return to their daily routine. For about a week or two, the skin at treated areas may peel or crust to reveal the fresh layers underneath. By the end of week two, the skin should look smoother and clear of blemishes*, at which point you may wear light makeup.

Patients will be provided with guidelines for post-treatment care to ensure the results are maintained for as long as possible.
