Non-Surgical Facelift with Ultherapy®

Non-Surgical Facelift with Ultherapy®

There is now a viable option for patients who are not ready for a facelift. The non-surgical face treatment uses ultrasound technology to lift and tone loose and sagging skin. If the skin on your face has “relaxed” to the point of looking and feeling less firm (mild to moderate skin laxity), this treatment may be right for you.

Ultherapy®, also known as Ulthera® or Ultrasound therapy, focuses energy at the deep skin layer and foundational layer to stimulate your body’s creation of new collagen. Over a period of 2-3 months, the new collagen builds in these targeted layers, and your skin’s elasticity and tone improves. The collagen-building process continues up to 6 months after your treatment.

Ultherapy® is more of an “uplift” than a facelift. While it is not viewed as a replacement for surgical rejuvenation, Ultherapy® from The Waldorf Center for Plastic Surgery is a non-invasive alternative for patients seeking some lifting and toning for mild and moderate skin laxity. It is a great way to keep pace with your skin’s natural aging process.

The Treatment

An Ultherapy® treatment takes 10 to 60 minutes depending on the area treated. Discomfort during treatment varies greatly between patients. To ensure a comfortable treatment, discuss the option of taking ibuprofen or some other oral pain medication with your clinician prior to treatment.

There may be some slight redness that goes away within an hour. Typically there is no bruising and only slight swelling with this treatment. This treatment has no downtime as you can immediately resume your normal routine.
