Shannon O’Brien MD, FACS

Shannon O’Brien MDDr. Shannon P. O’Brien, a board-certified plastic surgeon and ASPS member, is dedicated to providing safe, effective, leading-edge aesthetic and reconstructive procedures personalized to her patients’ individual needs. Dr. O’Brien joined The Waldorf Center team in 2008, and performs aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body. She also enjoys pediatric plastic surgery, and is a member of the cleft lip and palate team at Legacy Emanuel Hospital.

Dr. O’Brien enjoys getting to know her patients, and takes the time to hear each patient’s concerns and goals. Building relationships with her patients based on trust, Dr. O’Brien provides an unhurried approach, and patients appreciate her honest evaluations.

Dr. O’Brien served as Chief Resident at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2008, completing a 6-year integrated residency program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and General Surgery. During that time, she obtained additional aesthetic surgical training in Miami, Florida from Drs. James Stuzin and Tracy Baker.

She earned her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas School of Medicine at San Antonio in 2002. While in medical school, she was elected into the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

She completed her Bachelor of Science in zoology at Texas A&M University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1997.

Dr. O’Brien finds balance in life between a busy practice by enjoying time with her husband and two children. Together they lead a busy, active lifestyle enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
